What's Our Vector, Victor?

Remember the Plaza lighting ceremony a couple of weeks ago? And how David Cook showed up? And the thousands of people bursting with holiday cheer, huddled around the fountains and waiting for the illumination of miles of light bulbs? Didn't that suck? Aren't you tired of being crammed in with those unable to afford a $200 Brooks Brothers shirt or a $40 dinner at McCormick & Schmick's? In these troubling economic times, maybe it's best if the wealthiest just soar above these depressing creatures. Unfortunately, the Plaza has not yet cleared a helicopter pad to ferry passengers from Jack Stack to Tiffany & Co. Until then, the Kansas City Aviation Center is at least offering some alternative with its annual passenger flights over the Plaza to view the lights from on high — without being asked for a down payment on a cheeseburger. Call 866-359-5222 to reserve a flight or see kcac.com. Tickets range from $75 to $85, and flights take off between 6 and 10 p.m. The tours run through January 11.
