IRV GOTTI PRESENTS ... THE MURDERERS (MURDER INC.)

It is hip-hop groups such as The Murderers that give critics the ammunition to make claims that rap is responsible for off-the-field violence by NFL players and other criminal activities that take place in America. The Murderers, composed of Ja Rule (best known for his hit "Holla, Holla"), female rapper Vita, Chris Black, Black Child, 0-1, and Tah Murdah, spend 80 minutes spitting foul-mouth darts that drearily revolve around sex, killing, and slinging drugs. An unnecessarily hostile attitude is demonstrated throughout the jaded CD. The subpar songs ("We Don't Give a Fuck," "Shit Gets Ugly," "How Many Wanna Die," and "Dem Niggaz") are plagued by repetitively simple beats and sloppy lyrics. The last clique of rappers to try to pull off a "crime family" compilation, The Firm, failed miserably. The Murderers is simply a tumor the genre can ill afford.
