Pretzel belly

To a bargain hunter, $35 might seem a bit steep to watch the Kansas City Royals. Never mind the team's stats. Why pay that much when tickets start at $9? Because this game feeds the hungry — if you're the one who's hungry. For a handful of games this season, Kauffman Stadium (Interstate 70 and the Blue Ridge Cutoff) has offered a form of unlimited pleasure to fans willing to pay $35 and sit in Section 300. This hallowed area is known as the All You Can Eat Seats. That's right: While the hometown sluggers strike out, wearers of a certain wristband may consume as many hot dogs, peanuts, pretzels, nachos and Pepsi-bottled liquids as their stomachs can tolerate. Considering the inflated prices fetched by what the Royals' website terms "ballpark fare," this is a tremendous deal, particularly for anyone in training as a competitive eater. Caveat emptor: If you'd rather wash down all that salt and cheese with a beverage containing more hops than high-fructose corn syrup, you're on your own. See kansascity.royals.mlb.com.— Crystal K.
