Feelin' shaggy but don't want to throw down for a high-dollar haircut? Show some solidarity with young folks who suffer from cancer and make the trek to Grandview for a new do at the St. Baldrick's Foundation charity event. The world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising program for childhood-cancer research, St. Baldrick's asks for your hair and your permission to shave it in front of everyone. Outside of Gail's Harley-Davidson (5900 East Highway 150, 816-966-2222) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., find barbers, live music, giveaways, kids activities, free lunch, and motorcycle demonstrations. "This is definitely for everybody, not just bike people," says organizer Jaime Jensen. Information on how to be one of the shaved can be found at stbaldricks.org. Walk-ins are also welcome.
