Baron Wolman, besides possessing a name that would make any European count jealous, is the famed original chief photographer for Rolling Stone magazine. His shots adorned the covers of 21 issues in the magazine's heyday. There's currently a touring exhibition of his work for the magazine, and it's making a stop at the Lawrence Arts Center from August 26 through October 1.

Wolman will be part of the opening of the exhibition. On Friday, August 26, at 2 p.m., he'll be part of a panel discussion, hosted by Bill Snead. Snead is a photographer of some renown himself, not only having shot the Beatles on their first American tour but also having been photo editor for National Geographic. The exhibition itself opens at the Arts Center at 5 p.m., with Wolman signing autographs and speaking with fans. For a further list of events surrounding the exhibition, see the Lawrence Arts Center's website.
