Drag queens, athletic aggression and ADD are on the plate this week

We all feel like this sometimes.
  • We all feel like this sometimes.

Today: Let's face it, we'll only ever get to see pro basketball players slam dunk at the Sprint Center during exhibition games.

However, during the two-night College Basketball Experience Classic, we might get to see some future pros dribbling down our court. Tickets start at $10. Tonight's game between Duke and Marquette starts at 6:30.

Forget about Facebook for a second. Put that cell phone down. Now, pay attention -- the play at the Unicorn Theatre might give you some insight into why that's so difficult. Distracted considers our ADD culture. Catch a preview of the production, which opens officially on Saturday, at 7:30 p.m.

Frustration during the next day's family gathering is inevitable. So, why not get a little of that aggression out (vicariously) through a hockey game? The Missouri Mavericks take on the Bloomington Prairie Thunder at Independence Events Center at 7:05 p.m.

Let everyone else lapse into a turkey-induced coma. There's drinking to do -- and drag to watch. Missie B's bartenders get glittered up, starting at 9 p.m. All tips go to Angel Tree, which gets presents for underprivileged kids.
