At some poin,t we got too old for summer camp. But you can recapture a bit of the magic this June by attending Grill Camp in Alberta, Canada.

Oklahoma Joe's co-founder, Joe Davidson, is hosting a Grill Camp with chef Scott Hergott of the Fairmont Banff Springs June 17-19. Over a hot grill in Banff National Park, he'll teach you the secrets to developing proper technique.

Hergott and Davidson both compete on the barbecue circuit and have appeared on TLC's BBQ Pitmasters. Davidson, who regularly runs corporate workshops and a competition barbecue team, held a similar camp in Banff in 2008.

Oklahoma Joe's has also recently partnered with the Westin in Kansas City to create mini-barbecue competitions. Executive Chef Martin Heuser told Fat City, when we interviewed him last month, that participants learn from pit masters and devise recipes from a secret ingredient box.

The Grill Camp package, which includes two nights at the Fairmont Banff Springs, daily breakfast and the chance to learn from Davidson, starts at $999 Canadian.
