You need plans. Fat City has a recycle bin full of listings. In this post, all our problems are solved. And because Monday's Memorial Day, we'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming on Tuesday.

Who doesn't love the '80s? Martini Corner heads back to the beloved decade on Sunday with a Hot Tub Time Machine

event at Sol, the Drop, Velvet Dog and Tower Tavern. Dress in your

favorite period clothing to enjoy two-for-one drinks and half-price

shots. Of course, there will be plenty of '80s music from 6 p.m. to 3

And since Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kickoff for the barbecue season, you can start this year off right by meeting the authors of the Kansas City Barbeque Society Cookbook. Ardie Davis, Paul Kirk and Carolyn Wells stop at I Love A Mystery, an independent book store in Mission, on Saturday at 1 p.m. to sign their cookbook.

Wines by Jennifer holds a Memorial Weekend Grilling Class on Saturday in the wine garden from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Chef Clinton Lawson of Green Acres Market will be grilling local meats paired with sides and wines for tasting, and talking about how to grill different proteins. The class is $25 for wine club members, $30 for non-members. RSVP to 816-505-9463.

The shop and farmer's market at the Red Barn Farm in Weston opens for the season on Saturday. The shop is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, selling farm fresh eggs, locally raised ground beef and fresh greens. Later in the summer, you'll be able to pick your own blackberries and apples.

Cruise Night is back at Cookees Drive-In in Pleasanton, Kansas, on Saturday. You can see an array of classic American cars betwen 6 and 9 p.m. while eating the classic American burgers and fries (free with any meal purchase).

And on Memorial Day, Bobby Baker's Lounge

in Waldo offers timeless

first-day-of-the-workweek specials: $1 PBR drafts, $1.25 domestic

draws, and $2.75 wells and domestic bottles until 6:30 p.m. Grab a bag

of Chex Mix from behind the bar for $1, and you've got dinner, too.
