Name: Dana Wright

Occupation: Half of the Dana & Parks show on KMBZ 98.1

Hometown: Topeka

Current neighborhood: Leawood

What I do (in 140 characters): For four hours every afternoon, we talk about what Kansas City is talking about - health care, crime, councilmen texting their wieners ... never a shortage of material here.

What's your addiction? Veep; Zum Bar soap; the actual physical newspaper; and my English bulldog, Tank.

What's your game? I play golf three to four times per week. I'm a 16.8 handicap index. I want to be a 9.

What's your drink? Vodka soda or a good pinot noir.

Where's dinner? The Webster House downtown. Hands down, best spot in all of KC.

What's on your KC postcard? My four fabulous children and a Jayhawk.

Finish this sentence: "Kansas City got it right when ... " They hired Randy Wisthoff to take over the zoo. It's just spectacular now.

"Kansas City screwed up when ... " Leave my damned airport alone. I want to drive up, park and catch my plane. I've never once stood in a long TSA line here while simultaneously yearning for a restaurant. Not once.

"Kansas City needs ... " To have a beer. There's a lot of anger out there right now. We hear it every day on the show. We live in an amazing city. Stop bitching so much.

"I always laugh at ... " Myself. Scott [Parks] and I don't hold anything back. On my birthday this year, I peed my pants down front at the Sprint Center when Bon Jovi took the stage. I actually peed. And then told everyone.

"I've been known to binge-watch ... " Breaking Bad.

"I can't stop listening to ... " Willie Nelson.

"I just read ... " Wonder with my girls.

The best advice I ever got: Grow thick skin.

Worst advice: Wear a skirt to the Bon Jovi concert.

My sidekick: A very tight circle of girlfriends and Michael Mackie.

My dating triumph/tragedy: Kris Ketz just took me to see the Texas Tenors with the KC Symphony at Kauffman. It was so amazing, I cried. Twice. Like a weirdo. It was a triumph and a tragedy.

My brush with fame: A 10-minute sit-down interview with Michelle Obama back in my TV days. In radio, there are always famous people walking in. Like Sheryl Crow this year. And the Hanson brothers. They actually came in and hung out. They were totally cool.

My 140-character soapbox: I hate bad grammar and mean people. Do you know how many asshats write me to say, "your an idiot"? Morons.

What was the last thing you had to apologize for? My 13-year-old son said something enormously funny at school and got in trouble for it. We brought it up on the air. He was mortified. I felt awful about it. So even though I'm dying to tell you what he said, I won't. He's my clone, and I adore him. He actually wants to go into broadcasting.

My recent triumph: After 17 years in television, radio has given me new life! I laugh every day and wear ripped jeans to work. Every day is a triumph.

Dana & Parks airs from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
