The arts glossy Outpost Journal is centering its third issue on KC. The magazine, which comes out in the fall in a very limited print run, is already gathering stories and images for what promises to be a must-have souvenir. And starting this afternoon, it's putting on an event to whet your appetite. Are you ready to go on a scavenger hunt?

The nonprofit, in collaboration with about 10 local arts organizations and artists, has put up an installation that amounts to a citywide art dash. The treasure: a series of one-of-a-kind greeting cards (you know - as in hometown legend Hallmark) showcasing each designer's favorite thing about KC. (Front Space's, above, is one of the cheekier entries.)

When you find one of the cards, send a photo of yourself with it to Outpost's Facebook page (where you can see a treasure map starting at 4 p.m. today), and the journal will donate $25 to local microgrant hero Bread KC (one of The Pitch's favorite outfits; its contribution is above).
