When Phillip Albanese was new to town, he went to Minor Park to hit tennis balls against a wall. One Sunday, he was asked if he wanted to join a pickup game. Within a few years, the Sunday sessions had grown so large that Albanese and other regulars printed business cards and built a website to share information about their informal but competitive singles and doubles games. Recent improvements to the 12 courts at Minor Park, including new lights and playing surfaces, have made Sunday afternoons (and Thursday evenings) even more fun.
