A decade from now, if Kansas State continues its success in basketball, fans might start thinking that other coaches can replicate Frank Martin's success. They can't. While countless coaches have tried and failed to find success in Manhattan — Dana Altman, Tom Asbury and Bob Huggins among them — Martin has led the Wildcats to two NCAA appearances in three years, including last year's Elite Eight. His skill is convincing prized recruits to spend up to four years of their lives in the middle of Kansas. He isn't just a recruiter, though; once there, the young Wildcats thrive under Martin, who has won nearly 70 percent of his games in his brief career.
